Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing care for your dog is a big decision, and we want you to feel comfortable every step of the way. Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often about daycare, boarding, bathing, and getting started at Mid City Animal House.
Mid City Animal House offers a more personal, boutique-style experience than large-scale dog daycare facilities. We focus on smaller groups, individualized attention, and creating a calm, familiar environment where dogs can feel comfortable and cared for.
A Complimentary Trial Day is a great way for new dogs to get comfortable with our environment, staff, and daily routine. It includes a day of daycare. It also gives us a chance to get to know your dog and help make sure Mid City Animal House is a good fit.
We recommend a Complimentary Trial Day for most new clients because it helps your dog become familiar with our space, staff, and routine before a longer stay. It is one of the best ways to set your dog up for success. However, if you dog has done daycare before, it is not required.
Getting started is easy. Create your account in our client portal, upload your dog’s required information and vaccine records, and then request your services. If needed, we’ll guide you through scheduling your dog’s Complimentary Trial Day.

We require Bordetella, Distemper & Rabies.

We group dogs thoughtfully based on temperament, play style, energy level, and compatibility. Rather than using size alone, we focus on creating the safest and most comfortable environment for each dog.
In many cases, yes, but we may recommend a trial visit first so your dog can get familiar with our space, staff, and routine. We want boarding to feel comfortable and low-stress, not overwhelming.
Please bring your dog’s food, any needed medications, and clear feeding or care instructions. Treats are bonus! If you have questions about what else to bring, we’re happy to help you prepare for your dog’s stay.
You do not need to bring bowls or beds. We have plenty available at Animal House.
Yes, we can usually administer medications when clear instructions are provided. Please make sure all medications are labeled and include detailed dosing directions.
If you typically use pill pockets or food to assist, please also pack those items for your dog's boarding stay.
Yes. We offer bathing services so your dog can go home fresh, clean, and comfortable. Baths are a popular add-on after daycare or boarding.
